Happy New Year!!

Hahahahahahahah!! No comment on the below picture.. Don't you love Photo booth?? My adorable little hamsters..
I am finally feeling caught up! Sort of.. We celebrated our Happy New Year a month ago so it's about time I get our Halloween pictures up don't ya think??
A couple weeks before Halloween, we went to the Black Hill Farms. The kids had a blast!
They had lots of slides, games, corn mazes, food, a train, and we got to go on a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch where we all picked out our own pumpkin. They have a big haunted house too. The kids thought they wanted to go in... That is, until it started and they could hear all of the screaming. Then they changed their minds pretty quickly.
Of course, we had to carve our pumpkins! I forgot to take a picture of the finished product.
For Halloween, Mackenzie came up with her own costume. I don't think I got a picture of her with the whole ensemble on.. She was a Halloween Fairy.
Gavin was a zombie football player and Avery, of course, was a Princess.
I was a paper doll! I kept my costume on for about 20 minutes. It was not very comfortable.
I decided to re-do the Bathroom. It was painted a chocolate brown and I decided I wanted to lighten it up. I painted it grey. Unfortunately, it doesn't look so grey now that it is on the walls. It looks more powder blue. Oh well.
I love my new shower curtain and rug though.
I also made some changes in the Kitchen. I have always hated this kitchen. I painted the cabinets when we first bought the house but I've never liked them. So, I decided to paint them again. Black this time. I also bought a resurfacing kit for the countertops. Wow! What a difference. This is the countertop before....
and this is after. So much better!!
close up. It's a light tan color. Not yellow like it looks in this picture.
I found these pictures of Mackenzie. This is her quilt that she made in her sewing class last year. She did such a great job. It's adorable. She is now almost done with this year's quilt.
and this is a dog that she made.
Avery wants one too.
But- she will have to settle for her dog Ellie. She loves her
The kids had a dance recital a few weeks before Christmas. They did a great job and they all looked adorable up on the stage.
Mackenzie and her friend Rhyan.
I put my Christmas tree up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving this year. I love having it up for a long time before Christmas.. Then I want it down the day after!
The Kindergarteners had a Christmas program.. Of course, I forgot my camera so I had to take pictures with my phone so they are not good. But- I guess its better than nothing.
Avery couldn't wait to see Santa! but then when she did, she wouldn't tell him what she wanted.
Mackenzie and Gavin both said "I don't know" too. What's wrong with them??
They had another chance when we ran into Santa at the store.. still.. "I don't know"
This picture is out of place.. This happened a few weeks after Christmas. Avery lost her 1st tooth!! Well, sort of.. She did have a little help. Mackenzie was "organizing" her closet and as usual, Avery was trying to help by making it as difficult as she could for Kenzie. Avery grabbed a glove and wouldn't give it back. Mackenzie tried to grab it so Avery put it in to her mouth and bit down.. Mackenzie grabbed it and yanked it out and one of Avery's teeth came with it.. She cried for a long time and it bled for quite a while. She was really upset until Dallas mentioned that now the toothfairy is going to come. After that, she was as happy as could be and just kept saying "Thanks Kenzie! I have always wanted to lose one!" The toothfairy left her $10 since it was a special tooth with the root and all. She used the money to buy a mermaid barbie. Now she just wants to lose another one.
Here's a few pictures from Gavin's Christmas concert. Isn't he the most handsomest boy you ever saw??
One more chance to see Santa. Avery finally warmed up and told him what she wanted. Gavin said a dog.. What?? I don't think so! Avery wants "a deer hat with sharp horns so she can charge people." um..okay. She has been saying it for months. If you look at the hat she's wearing in the tooth picture, that is what Santa came up with. I think it was a good compromise.
We went to the Anderson Christmas party and the weather was perfect to do some sledding! We all had a great time!
Mackenzie trying to ride down on her feet.
CRASH!!!
Rylee and Syd
Afterward, we went to Sherin's for our traditional party of dinner, games, the nativity, and crafts.
We had our elf friend visit again this year. This year he only stayed for 2 weeks. He got himself into trouble again. Here's a few pictures of his adventures.

Finally Christmas Eve!!!
New jammies
Santa came!!!
 The kid's stockings
Avery got a karaoke machine, a new bike, her deer hat, a nerf gun, an art kit, a game, some movies, a new dance leotard, some money, and lots of chapstick.
Gavin got a Kindle fire, a big 3-D target, a new bow, some money, a couple games, a nerf gun, some movies, and a new pillow and blanket.
Mackenzie got a new bike, a bunch of Duck Dynasty gear (which is what she asked for),  an art kit, a game, some movies, loom bands, a nerf gun, a new bow, and some money.
Dallas got a new big screen tv, a blu ray player, a new electric shaver, and a wolf t-shirt (inside joke). He was pretty excited about the t-shirt haha!
 want some gum??
I got a Kindle fire HDX and a new ninja blender.. I LOVE that thing!
We stayed in our jammies all day and just had a great day!!!
This is 2 days after Christmas. He's pretty much slaughtered that poor deer lol!
For about 10 days or so we had some CRAZY wind. It was awful!! If you look up in the corner of the above picture, you can see our shed in the background.. Well, this is our shed now. We got home one day and it was gone.. Mangled by the wind. Any bets on how long it's going to take for Dallas to get it cleaned up?? I can't wait to get a new one in. I just wish I didn't have to pay for it!
