Indianapolis!!!

Dallas and I went to Indianapolis for 5 days and it was so fun! The best part was...NO KIDS!!!! BTW- Thanks mom for watching the kids so we could go!! These pictures are backwards but I am not going to take the time to change them! Going home- I took this from the airplane as we were flying back into Salt Lake.

Our last stop of the trip was to the Indianapolis motor speedway. It was fun to see. It is so much bigger than I would have thought. We went on a tour of the grounds and went into the museum where there were lots of cars- lots of really old ones and some newer ones. There was a fun gift shop too- Of course we had to buy lots of souveniers everywhere we went!
Getting ready to check out of the hotel- Which was really nice!
a few pictures of the city

dallas and Eldon at the FDIC convention

Joni and Amber

In front of the stadium
A few pictures from the convention- It was HUGE! The stadium was Packed and so was the convention center. It was all guy stuff but I did manage to find a few fun things for the kids.

They have these cat walks all over connecting the different buildings so you don't have to cross the street which I thought was so nice!
A view from the top of the stadiumThis is our rental car. It only had 33 miles on it when we got it. Dallas and Eldon spent the first 2 days in class at the conference- Amber and I met up with them after class got out but while they were there, we shopped till we dropped! There was a big 3-story mall and it was fun to go to becuse they have so many stores that we don't have around here. And, I don't ever get to go shopping without fighting 3 kids so it was so nice be able to do some STRESS-FREE shopping!
I met Eric Estrada. I didn't know who he was at first- but he was really nice.
There were a lot of neat really old buildings there. This one was my favorite.
I had to throw this in. This is Dallas coming back from the swimming pool. It was pretty funny. It was so nice to get away- no cleaning, no cooking, no laundry, and no kids for 5 days! We ate at some really good resturaunts and I ate way too much!! But, that is what vacations are all about!!

Gavin's Birthday and Easter!!

happy Birthday Gavin!!! Gavin is now 5 years old! I can't believe it! My kids are growing up so fast!! Gavin is such fun kid. He is a sweetheart and is a very loving person. He doesn't like anyone to be upset with him so he is (almost) always eager to please. He loves to play outside with his dog and he loves to wrestle and play games. He is so good to Avery and is such a good helper to make sure she is always happy. He is in pre-school and cannot wait for Kindergarten to start. He wants to be just like his dad and loves anything to do with the outdoors. He is so fun to have around and we are so grateful that he came to be a part of our family!! Our weekend started at Mark and Sherin's house. We stayed there on Friday night so we could go to the easter egg hunt Saturday morning. I was so upset because I forgot my camera but luckily, my mother-in-law had one I could borrow once we got to her house. So, Saturday, we went to the easter egg hunt, then went to Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's house for another easter egg hunt and lunch. We were all there except for Erick and Leslie so it was good to see everyone! We had a birthday cake for Gavin and home made ice cream- then we went to Kaysville where we went to Boondock's for Gavin's Birthday. It was so much fun! Before we went to Boondocks, Gavin opened his presents. He got a big inflatable deer target, some nerf guns, a camoflauge fort, and a semi truck. In the Boondock's parking lot.
I did Avery's hair 4 times that day and she kept taking it out so I gave up.

Riding the go-kartsAvery Loved the carousel-can't you tell??
eating pizzaWe played laser tag and a bunch of arcade games too! Tage was a maniac! He won 1700 tickets by himself!
Gavin Playing with uncle JordanAvery was feeding tinkerbell some treats and they must have looked good becuse she decided that she wanted some too! Yuck!!

We had to email the easter bunny and tell him to come to Grandma Sill's because we wouldn't be home and luckily, he found us!! The kids got some fun things in their baskets.

He left a big surprise in the garage!! A new trampoline!! They can't wait to get it set up!! They had an easter egg hunt at Grandma's house
Avery thought she was in heaven- She LOVES candy more than any kid I've ever seen!!Mackenzie and Gavin both got a basket full
We had an appointment to get Dallas's truck fixed on Monday because we have had trouble getting it to start, so we planned on staying till then. Monday came and went and the truck wasn't finished- They said they could get it all done on Tuesday- Well, tuesday afternoon came and we find out that the problem was bigger than we thought and it was going to take 2-3 more days and $4, 000 to get it fixed. That was NOT what we wanted to hear. After 5 days, we were so ready to go home (and I am sure John and Shelley were ready for us to go too- thanks again for letting us stay) so we took John's (Dallas's dad's) truck so we could get home and we will go back in a couple days to pick up our truck. Aside from the problems with our vehicle, we had a great weekend!!
