The Secret Is Out!!

Even before I got pregnant, Dallas made up his mind that he did not want to find out what the baby was. I never wanted a "Surprise." I wanted to know what we were having. But, I agreed and I tried but I couldn't do it. So I found out about 6 weeks ago and the plan was to keep it to myself and let everyone else be surprised. It was working really well too until Dallas got snoopy. He knows me too well. He knew that I couldn't do it and assumed that I had found out and he talked me into telling him today. He thought that it wasn't fair for me to know and not him. So, I told him and he is really happy because we are having a GIRL which is what he wanted. Mackenzie couldn't be happier either. She has wanted a sister for a very long time. I am glad he knows- Now I can stop hiding all of the baby stuff that I've been buying!

Our Baby

I went to the doctor yesterday and had a 4-D ultrasound done. They got a pretty good picture of the baby's face. This baby definately has the Sill nose. I just think it's amazing what these ultrasounds can do

A Day At The Zoo

Last weekend was so nice, We wanted to take the kids and do something fun, so, we took them to the zoo. They had so much fun and it was so warm that it made me miss living in Utah. Gavin is such an animal lover, he got so excited about everything he saw. The day went really well, until we went to the giftshop. All Gavin wanted was a little alligator in a cage. (a real one!) It took alot of persuading, but we finally convinced him to settle for a stuffed alligator on a leash.

The "Time Out Chair"

Gavin got in trouble and had to take a 10 minute "Time Out". He sits at the little table and I set the timer. After the 10 minutes was up, the timer went off and I went to tell him that he could get up and this is what I found. He slept there for over half an hour.

Man's Best Friend

It's been a hard day for Dallas. He has had his dog Bart since he was 12 years old. Today we had to have him put down which was a very hard decision to make. The kids absolutely LOVE their dog and were sad to see him go but we didn't have any other option. He was very sick. The vet thinks he had cancer and we didn't want him to suffer so we did the only thing we could. I'm not much of an animal lover myself, but I feel really bad for Dallas and for the kids. They can't quite understand why we did what we did.

My Two Little Helpers

I've been babysitting my 7 week old nephew Kyson. Isn't he cute?? It has been so much fun watching Mackenzie and Gavin with him. They are such big helpers. They want to do everything for him. I can't wait to see them with our new baby. They are both very excited and amazed by the fact that mommy has a baby in her tummy.
