Avery's Day-Care did a fundraiser where they had a guy come take pictures. I don't love them but I guess it's better than nothing.. In all of the family ones, I had a pretty good shadow on the side of my face. I did my best to fix it but when you look up close, They really don't look too good. They were good enough for Christmas cards though! The kid's pictures turned out okay. I just didn't like how he sat Mackenzie on a rocking horse.. Avery would have been one thing but Mackenzie is almost 10 years old so I thought the rocking horse was pretty crazy!
He also took these of Avery.. They were all done while the kids were at Day-care and I was working. I think they are funny.. I am not a fan of the whole cowgirl theme but I had to post them for Dallas. Besides.. She is adorable no matter what she's wearing!

Christmas Break!!

Christmas break is almost over and it has gone by WAY too fast! We had a great Christmas as always. I didn't post the kid's letters to Santa this year. Avery asked for a chapstick machine (so she can make her own chapstick, and never run out), a real live bunny, make-up, and a make-up bag. Gavin asked for a leopard gecko, and Mackenzie wanted a cotton candy machine.
Of course, our naughty elf Fred Barry Elfman came back and spent the month of December wreaking havoc in our home.
Avery was in an adorable Christmas program put on by her pre-school.
 Santa even came!
The girls did great at their Christmas dance recital.
On Christmas Eve, we went over to our friends house for dinner and games. It was a lot of fun. Then we went home, opened our new jammies, read "The Night Before Christmas", and put out milk and cookies for Santa.
Mr Elfman got the kids an X Box 360
Avery was convinced this big gift was going to be her "chapstick Machine".. She was pretty disappointed when she saw it was just a doll house.
Dallas got the 12 days of Christmas.. His Big thing that he got was tickets to a Harlem Globetrotters game in February. It will be so fun! He even surprised me with a new Dyson Vacuum!
Peek-a- Boo! Avery loves the adorable table tent that she got.
Kenzie and Gavin both got new aarows for their bows from Grandma Anderson.

Avery with most of her stuff.. She got a little coloring table, a tent, a doll house, a baby that crawls, a strawberry shortcake doll, and a bunch of art stuff, a purple tutu, a tinker bell movie, some clothes, bathtub stuff, and of course, chapstick!
Mackenzie got a cotton candy machine, roller blades, a craft organizer that is overflowing with craft supplies, a tackle box, a movie, a while bunch of orbies, and some clothes.
Gavin got his leopard gecko, some rollerblades, a football, a nerf gun, a remote-controlled helicopter, a remote controlled car that drives on the walls, a movie, an x-box game, and some craft stuff.
 This is his gecko Leo.
Avery wore her purple tutu for 4 days straight after Christmas.. I think she likes it! She was a little bitter about not getting a chapstick machine. She even said she "hates Santa".. I tried explaining to her that I don't think Santa could get a chapstick machine.. That there's no such thing.. Her response was that "Santa could have made one for me".  She's got a point there! Luckily, she got over it pretty quickly!
We took the kids to the church so they could try out their roller blades and so Gavin could fly his helicopter without wrecking into something every 30 seconds..
And this is what happens when you are asleep on the couch and get a helicopter flown into your head.. It gets stuck in your hair.
The weekend after Christmas, we went to Utah to visit the Grandparents.. We spent a night with the Sills' where the kids were spoiled rotten.. Avery got a whole family of "real" Bunnies that walk, hop, and make noises. She also got a lalaloopsie doll, and chapstick!!
Mackenzie got an orbies ladybug she has been wanting, and another cotton candy machine, because the one she got for Christmas didn't work. Grandma saved the day and found another one!
Gavin got a nerf gun,  a robe, and a book. We left the kids with John and Dallas and Shelley, Bailey, and I went and saw Les Miserables. It was so good!!
The next morning, we went Ice Skating with the Anderson cousins. It was a lot of fun!
Grandma and Grandpa Anderson even joined us for the day! It's always good to see them!
We snapped some pictures while we were all together. That doesn't happen too often so it needs to be documented! It has been 4 years since I have seen Erick and it's been even longer than that since we have all been together. It was really good to see everyone!
