New Camera!!

There is no-where to go to get pictures taken where I live (not that I can afford anyway) so I decided to invest in a new camera, I bought an SLR and I LOVE IT!! My first project was to take Avery's pictures in her blessing dress and I think they turned out pretty good for a beginner.

Halloween!!

I just had to put this picture on so you can all see how chunky she is getting!

All ready to go TRICK-OR-TREATING!!

Halloween Fun!!

Every Halloween we carve pumpkins and we decorate halloween cookies. So Monday night we carved pumpkins -except for Gavin. He wanted to paint his. Mackenzie even carved hers all by herself! Then today, Mackenzie had her friend Hannah ride the bus home with her and they decorated their cookies. It was alot of fun!

Gavin, ready to go to his halloween party at pre-school. He is going to be a firefighter. Mackenzie still hasn't decided what she is going to wear.

Too Cute!

Avery likes to be wherever I am. She likes to be held most of the time and if I'm not holding her, she at least wants to be able to see me. When I shower, she sits in the bouncy chair next to the tub. She won't go to bed until I do. Her bassinett ( ??I have no idea how to spell it) is right next to my bed. I dont have to hold her or touch her, she just has to know that i'm there or she won't go to sleep. When I cook, she sits in her bumbo chair on the kitchen floor. Today I was making dinner and she fell asleep in her chair. She just looked so cute that I had to take a picture.

Family Pictures 2008

We went to Ogden to get our family pictures taken and just our luck, it snowed the night before. We decided to get them done anyway. We managed to find a couple spots that weren't covered in snow and even though the kids were freezing, we got some pretty good pictures. Thanks Amanda!

Are you sure it's still October??

Can you believe this? It's October 11th and it's a blizzard outside! It has been off and on all morning and the forcast says that we will have 4 to 8 inches by tomorrow morning. I think I want to move to St. George!

I just love my kids. My life would be so empty without them. They make me laugh everyday. The other day I was holding Avery and Gavin walked up to me. He looked down at Avery, and got a discusted look on his face and said in an irritated voice "I wanted a boy one of those, not a girl one".

The kids have been begging me to put the pictures of them with Dallas's deer on so here they are!

Quirky

I have been tagged by Rindi
Let's See just how quirky I am
Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
1- I can't stand clutter. If there is anything on the floor it drives me crazy. Toys, blankets, shoes, paper, anything. I wish I could relax a little bit for my poor kid's sakes but I really can't. I feel bad for them because they can be playing with something and as soon as they put it down, I'm getting after them to put it away. Mackenzie gets home from school and everyday, as soon as she walks in the door I'm telling her to put her shoes and backpack away. Gavin loves to play with his train but there are so many pieces that I feel overwhelmed by all of the little pieces all over the floor so it never stays out very long. I also can't go to bed at night unless the floors are clean and all of the dishes are washed.
2-I do not like when our plans are changed at the last minute. I wake up everyday with a plan for the day and I do not like it when those plans change. I also like to plan ahead- I make a list at night of everything I need and want to do the next day and it makes me crazy if I can't stick to that list. It makes it really hard to be married to Dallas because he does not plan ahead. He is a "we'll see when the time comes kind of guy" and that drives me crazy sometimes.
3-One thing that really bothers Dallas about me is that I can't sleep if he is touching me. He likes to cuddle in the middle of the night and I am always yelling at him to get away from me. I try to be patient and let him lay by me but when I'm really tired all I want to do is go to sleep and I can't do that unless he stays on his side of the bed.
4-One thing i'm sure you all know about me is that I like to talk. I can talk and talk for hours but when it comes to speaking in public I cannot do it. Even at employee parties or church functions, anywhere that there are alot of people, when I am put on the spot I freeze up and my face turns red and I just want to run away.
5-I am afraid of the dark. I will not go outside at my house by myself when it's dark. When I was working and I would come home after dark, I would sometimes call Dallas and make him come out and stand on the porch while I ran in. The funniest thing is that when I would have to go out in the dark, I would take one of the kids with me because then I am not afraid. I don't know why that is. It's not like they will be able to protect me. I think it's because I am so busy assuring them that there's nothing to be afraid of that I don't have enough time to think about being afraid myself.
6- One rule at my house is that no one is allowed in the kitchen when I am cooking. I hate to cook and for some reason, I cannot stand to have anyone in there while I am cooking. I need to have the whole kitchen to myself or I get really agitated. When I am making cookies and things like that, the kids love to help so I will let them. But, other than that, the kitchen is off-limits when I am cooking.

One Month Old!!

I can't believe Avery is already one month old. She is growing way too fast. We have enjoyed her so much and the time is just flying by.

So I bought this new photoshop program and I have spent hours and hours playing with it and trying to figure out how it works and I have been so frustrated because I just can't figure it out. I did learn how to do a few things today though. I think it will be really fun to have if I can get through the learning process without breaking the disk in half!!

October 1st 2008 Wyoming Deer

Last weekend we went to my parent's house to visit. Mackenzie went to Sara's house for a sleep-over and Gavin and Rylee had a sleep-over at grandma's house. It was so cute. I had set Avery down on the couch and Rylee came and sat by her and started reading books to her. She would go on and on telling Avery stories that she made up. So, of course Gavin had to get in on the action too.

I can't believe she's already four weeks old!
