There is no-where to go to get pictures taken where I live (not that I can afford anyway) so I decided to invest in a new camera, I bought an SLR and I LOVE IT!! My first project was to take Avery's pictures in her blessing dress and I think they turned out pretty good for a beginner.

HOlY CRAP Joni! Way to go, they look awesome! There is nothing better than having a nice camera to be able to do your own kids pictures. You should make a business of it, sounds like Lyman needs a photographer!

I love the pictures! They look professional! I want to do the same thing. You would think there would be tons of places in St George to get pictures done, but there are like 2 and then of course all the people who do it but charge tons of money. I just don't know what kind of camera to get. Avery looks so cute! All the family I have talked to have said she is such a cute baby!
