Ist day of kindergarten!!

Mackenzie has been waiting and waiting for school to start and it's finally here! Yeah! She has been so excited to go to school. She picked out her outfit for the first day all by herself. Her grandma took her shopping. She could have picked anything in the store. She chose a pink Hannah Montana shirt, jeans, sparkly pink shoes, a sparkly pink head band, a sparkly pink purse, and a purple necklace. She was so excited to wear them. (especially the shoes). We have all-day kindergarten here so I think it might be a little hard on her at first but she's ready. I drove her to school for her first day and she rode the bus home. She was so proud of herself. I can't believe she is already old enough to be in school! I have been pretty nervous about the whole bus thing but they will pull into our driveway to pick her up and drop her off, and the best thing is that they will not let her off the bus unless they see a parent. So, it will be a fun thing for Gavin, to go outside and wait for Kenzie to get home from school every day. It's going to be hard for him- Having her gone all day. Today, within ten minutes of dropping Kenzie off, Gavin started asking "When Kenzie be home?"
He was a little upset when we took her because as she was getting her backpack ready, he also got his ready for school and took it with him. As we walked out of her classroom, he asked "Where's my class?" It was so funny, when we got home I opened his backpack to see what he had packed and instead of paper, pencils, and crayons, he had it stuffed full of socks and underwear. I'm not quite sure what that was all about. He will start pre-school next week so hopefully that will make him happy.

Getting on the bus her 2nd day of school!! She was so excited!!

The Last Day Of Summer Vacation

The kids have been begging to go fishing so we decided to take them one last time before school starts. Mackenzie was so excited because she caught her first fish all by herself. We dont usully keep anything that we catch but the kids were determined to keep them and cook them with dinner so we did. Dallas cooked a couple of them and the kids actually tried it. I was surprised. They both said that they liked it but neither of them ate much (not that I blame them.) We had a fun day. By the time we left, Gavin was so exhausted, he fell asleep with the seatbelt strapped across his face.

A Day At The Circus!!

This week me and the kids went to the circus. They had so much fun. Gavin LOVED the big lion, but I think he was also sort of scared of it because the whole time the lion was out, he held my hand as tight as he could. Mackenzie's favorite part was the pony ride and the clown.

Boys will be Boys

Gavin's favorite thing to do in the whole world is to play in the mud. On the one side of our house we do not have grass. He likes to turn on the water to make mud and dig with his shovel. I've tried and tried to keep him from doing this, but then I just decided that he's really not hurting anything so why not. It has become an almost-daily ritual. He plays in the mud, then we squirt him off with the hose. I'm glad that we are having a girl. I'm not sure my washing machine could handle two boys.

Anderson Family

Last weekend we had a little family reunion at my mom and dad's house. Everyone was there but Erick and Leslie. But, considering the fact that they live in another country, it would have been a little hard for them to come. We did miss them though, and are all looking forward to seeing them in December. The kids had lots of fun. We went to the parade, then they just played in the water all day at my mom's house. They painted t-shirts, and we went to the fireworks. It was a lot of fun.
