What a big Girl!

The past couple of days, Avery has acted like she's always hungry. I would feed her a bottle and within 2 hours, she would start thinking that she was STARVING. I tried just feeding her more at a time, but she wouldn't take any more. So, the other day when I was at the store, I grabbed a box of baby cereal with bananas in it and thought I'd give it a try. I figured I'd be lucky to get a couple spoonfulls in. With my other two kids it took them FOREVER to get used to eating with a spoon. And she really shouldn't be eating it yet anyway, because she's not even 4 months old. I mixed some up and she ate every bit of it. I couldn't believe how well she did. She LOVED it! She is now a much happier baby.

Christmas party

Mackenzie had a christmas party at school and I volunteered to come and help. It was so fun. She has the funnest teacher. They did a craft, played some games, had a snack, and they all got these cute reindeer t-shirts. I was so mad. I left in such a hurry that I forgot my camera, so I snapped a couple pictures with my phone.

I'm still playing with my photoshop program and trying to figure it all out. It's so much fun. I LOVE this picture.

DaNcE dAnCe DaNcE

Mackenzie's dance team had a little christmas performance at the High School. This may be her last one because she has been wanting to quit. I think I'll pull her out for the rest of the year and then we'll see next spring what she decides. Right now she is saying that she just wants to do
tumbling.

SaNtA ClAuS IS cOmInG tO tOwN!!!

SaNtA cLaUs came to our ward party this year. Gavin was so funny! This is the first time he's really gotten into the whole ChRiStMaS thing. All of the kids were standing in the front of the room waiting for SaNtA to come in and the next thing I know, Gavin is running toward me, jumping, with his hands over his mouth, and giggling like a little girl. He was SO excited. I told him to go see sAnTa and suddenly his smile dissapeared and he got a serious look on his face and said "can you come with me??" Gavin told him that he wants a motorcycle for cHrIsTmAs. (SaNtA told me that he has a bicycle that looks like a motorcycle. So Gavin should be happy:) Mackenzie went next and told him that she wants a fur real friends Roll-Over-pup for ChRiStMaS. She also said that his name is Tumbles. I THOUGHT SaNtA was done shopping but due to this new piece of info. "SaNtA" was suddenly searching frantically for "Tumbles". Thank goodness for the internet. I love cyber-shopping! It has made ChRiStMaS shopping a pleasure! Of course Avery didn't say anything but she also didn't cry, so that was good. P.s. I just have to brag and say that Avery has turned into such a good baby!! She is always happy and has started sleeping through the night. My kids have all been good sleepers. ( they must be related to me!) Avery sleeps from about 10:00 at night to about 9:30 in the morning. That's almost 12 hours!!! When she finally decides to wake up however, I've got to be right there, bottle in hand because she she thinks she's starving to death. She went from waking up every 3 hours to sleeping 12 hours straight within a matter of days. I LOVE this baby!!

Mackenzie's new Haircut

We have been growing Mackenzie's hair out for a long time. It grows VERY slow. Last week out of no-where she decided that she wanted it cut. I made her wait a few days. I thought she would change her mind but she didn't so Yesterday we went and got it cut. She loves it so I guess that's all that matters.

Christmas Tag

I have been tagged by Gina.
The rules are to list ten material wishes and then tag ten people.

1. I want a bike so I can go on rides with my kids now that they are getting old enough. I was going to get one for christmas but now it's going to have to wait until spring which is OK cuz it's too cold for riding bikes right now anyway.

2. One of life's simplest pleasures: I want a lifetime supply of symphony bars. The kind with almonds and toffee in it. And, I want to be able to eat them without getting fat.

3. I want a new computer. One that doesn't give me fits. We have had this one for barely a year and have had problems since day one.

4. I want a new dress. One that I like. I can't even tell you how many times I have gone shopping for a dress and have come home empty-handed because I can't ever find any that fit right that I like.

5. I want an SUV that gets more than the 18mpg that I'm getting now.

6. I want a house that has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a bonus room so Dallas has a place to keep all of his deer antlers and other hunting stuff so that I never have to see it.

7. I want a personal chef so that I never have to cook again.

8. I want a bigger washer and dryer.

9. I want to go on a tropical vacation for two weeks. one week with the kids, and one week without them.

10. New shoes. Lots and lots of shoes. Thats one thing that I never spend much money on but would like to if I could.

I TAG: Leslie, Staci, Sherin, Rindi, Ashley, Ashleigh, Tiffany, KaeDawn, Melissa, Alyson

All ready for Christmas!

Let me just say, ITS GOING TO BE A LONG MONTH! It's our tradition to put up the christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. We set it up and immediately Gavin started asking why there wasn't anything in his stocking. He is really into Christmas this year. He's getting old enough that he knows what it's all about- PRESENTS!! A couple hours after we set it up, he started asking "When do we get to open presents??" I tried explaining to him that we still have a while before Christmas and I thought he understood. Then this morning when we woke up, Mackenzie was asking if she could do a craft and Gavin Yells NO! YOU CAN'T DO CRAFTS ON CHRISTMAS! WE HAVE TO OPEN PRESENTS FIRST!!! He thinks that since the tree is up, it must be christmas. So, today our project will be to make those paper christmas countdowns. Maybe that will put it into perspective a little bit. I just have to say. my kids are lucky that I shopped early this year. I already have all of their christmas stuff paid for. A word of warning: If you're wanting to get an IUD, check with your insurance. Just because they've paid for all other birth control, doesn't mean they will pay for an IUD. I am now paying $800 for a tiny piece of plastic. That makes $3,000 that we've paid in 2 months (OUCH!) So, for chritmas this year, Dallas and I are getting BIRTH CONTROL!! WOO HOO!! (How am I supposed to wrap that??) Dallas is thinking that it's not fair that because of my stupidity, He gets nothing for christmas, but it's not exactly something that I can take back and say "I want a refund!!"

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Dallas's parent's house. We ate LOTS of good food. I was even brave and tried sweet potato casserole for the first time and it was REALLY good. The kids had fun and we saw some family that we haven't seen in a long time. It was a nice day. Bailey's new pink hair-Do.
