Avery's Birthday was a few weeks ago. She turned the big 4! She has been looking forward to this day for months. All she wanted to do was to go to the Zoo for her big day. So, we loaded up and off we went! Grandma Sill, Trey, Tage, Bailey, and Shelby came with us. I think Avery had a great day!

They were being "eggs" in this picture lol!
She pouted for a few minutes but got over it pretty quickly! She is so funny.
The next day was her Birthday so we had a little party at home with some friends.
Grandma made her this cute little doll. She was pretty excited about it!
 yummmmmy Pizza!

Chapstick was the only thing she asked for for her Birthday. Big surprise!

She got a baby named Avery.

She wanted an eyeball cake..Don't ask where that idea came from. I convinced her to settle for a rainbow cake.
 make a wish!
Her favorite thing in the world.. Her blanket that she calls Pokey. (or pokey-dot blankie)
Happy Happy Birthday Avery! I love you so so much! You bring so much joy and laughter into our home. I Hope your big day was as special as you are! She did tell me the day after her Birthday that she doesn't feel 4. She just feels 3. She thought that she would wake up feeling different somehow and was a little disapointed when it didn't happen. Avery is such a fun kid. She has the most awesome personality and I wouldn't change a thing about her. I love you as big as the sky!!
For Avery's birthday, I got a new car! My explorer needed some major repairs. The transmission was going out, the heater needed to be fixed, and it needed new tires. I figured it would have cost between 4 and 5 thousand dollars to do it all and I decided it wasn't worth it. We had gone to Utah to go to the Zoo for Avery's birthday and I didn't dare drive my car home. Dallas was gone hunting and I didn't think it was going to make it home, and I just had a bad feeling about driving it any further. It wasn't safe in the condition it was in. so, I went all by myself and got a new one.  Luckily I have an awesome husband who trusted me to do what I needed to do. He said "find one you like, and buy it." so I did. without him even seeing it. It's a Kia Sorento and so far, I really like it!
I was a little frustrated because exactly a week before I got my new car, my computer died and I had to go get a new one. I ended up getting a mac instead of a pc which is what I have always used. There are some things I really like about it but there are a few things that I don't like so much. For one, I miss my windows live writer that I used to use for my blog. I can't get it on the mac so I can't use the cute fonts and editing tools that I used to use on my blog. So now my blog will be plain and boring like it was before I discovered live writer. Anyhow, I got the computer, then the car, then 2 days later, my printer died. I knew that one was coming. It's been giving me trouble for 6 months but the timing was pretty crappy. So, I also got a new printer. Then I decided to paint my desk to go with my new computer and printer! I have always hated this desk. I have wanted to get a new one but after spending so much money on these other things, I decided to attempt painting it and I like it. I distressed it because I knew it would take a beating and get distressed anyway.  I just hope we can get a break for a while because my checkbook can't take any more!
I finally got some pictures of Mackenzie's quilts that she has made. The one on the top, she made in her sewing class earlier this year. She had so much fun making it, that she wanted to make another one. The other one took most of the summer but she got it done with a little help from mom.

Of course, Avery wanted one too so we made her one and put pink on the back instead of blue. I have never made anything like this before so I was pretty happy with how they turned out.
 Avery and her baby Avery.
One more thing. Mackenzie and Gavin somehow convinced me to let them get some pets a few months ago. Hamsters. Mackenzie loves hers and plays with it all of the time. Gavin does occasionally but not as much as Kenzie. As far as pets go, they are not bad. They are quiet, and pretty easy to take care of so I don't have any complaints. We had them in the same cage at first. They were just babies when we got them. But- they started fighting and they were getting seriously injured so we had to separate them before they killed each other.
I can't believe how grown-up Mackenzie is becoming. It sort of makes me sad! What has happened to my babies?

Boys

I thought I had better throw a few pictures in here for the boys. It is hunting season after all. Dallas has taken Gavin with him several times and one night, he made us all go. The kids all had fun. It was nice to spend some time with the family but I did learn once and for all that hunting is not for me. It's just too sad. I don't see how anyone thinks it's an enjoyable hobby. To each their own I guess! I do love to see the father-son bonding though!

First Day of School!

Just a few Pictures from the Kid's first day of school. Mackenzie is in 4th grade and actually has 2 teachers but one of them wasn't there that morning. Her teachers are Mr. Sandlian and Mrs. Isom. Gavin is in 2nd grade and his teacher is Mrs. Levine. So far they are both having a fabulous year! I thought I had gotten a picture of Avery on her first day of pre-school but I guess I didn't. Her teacher is Miss Karen and she loves school too!

Brigham City Temple

A few weeks ago, we went and walked through the Brigham City Temple during the open-house. It was so pretty. Avery just kept saying "WOW! It's so sparkly!!" I am glad that we were able go. The kids all thought it was pretty amazing.

 They all loved the fountain!

While we were there, the kids all bought bows and arrows. That was the best money I think I've spent in a long time! They played with them all weekend and have played with them for hours on end since we brought them home.
