I have not taken many pictures these past few months and the ones I have taken are still on my camera. I will eventually get around to putting them onto my computer - Maybe when school is out.. maybe..
It just seems like the days fly by so fast and I don't even have time to do the things I have to do let alone the the things that I want or feel I "should" do- such as scrapbooking and catching up on my blog. I did have these few pictures sitting on my computer that I thought I should put up for Mackenzie. This is her new puppy Ellie. We have had her for about 6 weeks and she has probably doubled in size. She's still tiny though.. Not even 3 lbs.  She is a chihuahua/ shih tzu mix and The kids absolutely LOVE her! I thought she was fun for about a week until I realized that I have no idea how to potty train a puppy. We are struggling in that dept. I hope she catches on soon! Mackenzie completely babies her. She dresses her up, gives her baths, and carries her around like she's a toy. Unfortunately, the puppy has attached herself to me for some reason. She scratches at my legs and wants me to hold her constantly like a newborn baby. She wants to bury her face into my neck and stay there forever. At first I would give in and pick her up but it got old pretty quick!

Gavin turned 8 a couple weeks ago and will get baptized some time.. If we can ever find a day that works for us. It's supposed to be next weekend but the girls have a dance competition and then in may we are going to be out of town for the 1st weekend so it looks like it won't be till June. He is so excited though! For his Birthday he got new scriptures with his name engraved on them, new church clothes, some headphones for when he goes shooting with his dad, and $40 cash. I had the day off, so I went to his school and surprised him with pizza for lunch. He got camouflage cupcakes and we went to see the movie "The Croods" with some friends and then afterward, he got to have a sleep-over. My babies are all growing up!

Speaking of growing up, I just registered Avery for Kindergarten. I can't believe she will be old enough to go to school in the fall! I have not decided for sure whether I will send her or not just because her birthday is so late. She barely makes the deadline by just a few days but she really REALLY wants to go so we went ahead and registered her and we will work with her a lot through the summer and then decide whether we think she is ready. She says the funniest things and I always think "I really should write these things down" but I never do. I need to do better.

I only have 34 days left of school and my kids have even less than that. I can't believe how fast the year has gone. It's sort of depressing! I am ready for summer though! this winter has not been a bad one. We haven't had much snow at all but it has dragged on forever!! Here we are the middle of April and we have had very few nice days. It's supposed to snow the next 3 days so it doesn't look like we'll be getting any good weather for a while. I am tired of the cold!!

My baby turned 10 last month!! I can't believe I am old enough to have a 10-year old! This is over a month late, but Mackenzie had a pretty good Birthday.. She got an i-pod touch and she was pretty excited! She also got some money from Grandma Anderson which she always loves because then she gets to pick out what she wants and buy it herself.

We got Pizza for dinner and we made 2 cakes.. One for her and one for Dallas. He turned a big 31 the next day.

Then, a few days later, Mackenzie had a little party with some friends. They came over for cake and ice-cream and they just played here for a while, then I took them to the movies. They saw wreck-it-Ralph. I just can't believe how big she has gotten! 10 years old already!! I love you Kenzie Lou and I am so glad that you are mine!! Happy Birthday!!

I just wanted to put these pictures up for fun.. Just so you can all see what it looks like when Avery dresses herself. I think she gets her sense of style from her dad!

I got a new fridge!! Yay!! It is amazing how much fun can be had with a ginormous cardboard box... The fun only lasted 2 days...Until mom decided it was time for the box to disappear. They played in that thing non-stop for 2 days straight. Too bad mom had to be such a party pooper!
A few weeks ago, we took the kids to see the Harlem Globetrotters. It was so much fun! We had great  3rd row seats. The kids loved it. Especially Gavin. His eyes were glued to the court the whole time and he talked about it for days afterward.  The smile on his face and hearing him laugh non-stop made it worth every penny!

Avery had some cotton candy so she was as happy as a kid could be!

This was Gavin's favorite part.. The guy stood on top of the basketball hoop and started dancing.
We rode the train from Layton to Salt Lake and back. The kids thought that was pretty fun too. They all got a Harlem Globetrotter basketball to take home as a souvenir.

Last weekend was so warm- You couldn't have asked for better weather so we took the kids and went for a drive. First, Dallas took us on a hike in search of some aarowheads. They even found a couple. The kids had a blast! Then we drove over to the Gorge and the kids played on the beach and threw rocks into the water- or ice I guess I should say... It was a fabulous day! It made me really anxious for spring and summer! I am ready for some warm weather!

Avery's Day-Care did a fundraiser where they had a guy come take pictures. I don't love them but I guess it's better than nothing.. In all of the family ones, I had a pretty good shadow on the side of my face. I did my best to fix it but when you look up close, They really don't look too good. They were good enough for Christmas cards though! The kid's pictures turned out okay. I just didn't like how he sat Mackenzie on a rocking horse.. Avery would have been one thing but Mackenzie is almost 10 years old so I thought the rocking horse was pretty crazy!
He also took these of Avery.. They were all done while the kids were at Day-care and I was working. I think they are funny.. I am not a fan of the whole cowgirl theme but I had to post them for Dallas. Besides.. She is adorable no matter what she's wearing!
