It seems like Dallas is always on call for the 4th so we are never able to go anywhere but that's OK. This year, we just stayed home again. We went to the parade. Avery loved it as you can see from her picture.

Dallas drove the fire truck and Gavin rode with him to throw candy.
That afternoon we went to the park for a picnic. Then the kids just played and waited for the fireworks.
Avery did pretty well until about 9:00. Then she got really tired and onry. She fell asleep about 10 minutes before the fireworks started. I thought they would wake her up but they didn't so she missed them.

How sad that Avery missed them! If it makes you feel better, Hannah fell asleep about the same time as Avery and missed the entire firework show as well! Maybe next year! ;)

Yeah we're with you Rhett slept through his first fireworks this year too! Bummer!

We never get to go anywhere either. With my husband's farm schedule we have no life.
Looks like you guys had fun on the 4th! Braxton stayed awake for like 2 minutes of the fireworks then fell asleep:)
